»Antibacterial alloys: Development by additive 3D manufacturing, characterisation and clinical applications«, acronym BIOAD, is a basic research project financed by Slovenian Research Agency (Public call for (co)financing the research projects in 2022, field Medicine, Interdisciplinary large project).
The principal objective is to develop a new class of metallic biomaterials for implants with inherent long-term antibacterial activity to reduce implant infection rates.
